#rudrastakam हम सनातनी ऋषियों की संतान है। नारायण के आत्मज ब्रह्माजी के मानसिक पुत्र मरीचि हुए, मरीचि के पुत्र कश्यप हुए जिन्होंने प्रजापति के १२ कन्याओं से विवाह कर अनेक तेजश्वी पुत्र उत्पन्न किए। उन १२ कन्याओं में मुख्य अदिति ने विवस्वान (सूर्य) को जन्म दिया। सूर्य के पुत्र मनु हुए जिनकी कन्या इला ने बुध से विवाह किया और पुरुरवा को जन्म दिया। बुध के पिता बृहस्पति हुए, जो अंगिरा के पुत्र हुए और अंगिरा ब्रह्मा के पुत्र हुए। इस तरह से हम ययाति के पुत्र यदु (यदु वंश), पुरु (कुरुवश), तुवर्सु (यवन) , द्रुहु (भोजवंशी) , अणु (मलेच्छ) यही सारी मानवता के जनक हुए। सम्पूर्ण संसार सनातन से ही उत्पन्न हुआ है और मुझे गर्व है हम ऋषियों की संतान है। सनातन ही जगत का आधार है।
